Carmel Baptist Church

As we minister to the families within our church, it is our desire to disciple young people for ministry. We beleive God's primary institution for child rearing is the home, so we want our young people to be lead by parents, not the personality of the youth pastor. It is not a babysitting service, though we do watch the young people. It is not an entertainment program, though we do have a lot fun. Through teaching and preaching, singing, sharing testimonies, outreach programs, and fun activities, our focus is on spiritual growth and Christ-likeness, not just lots of activity.

We strongly beleive that the Bible gives the answer to each dilemna and guidance for every decision. We believe spiritual maturiy requires personal investment. We believe parents are vital to youth ministry. We believe that a firm, but compasssionate approach to the heart of the young person is the best approach to ministering to our young people. At Carmel Baptist Church, the needs of our members will determine the ministry programs and activites. We will not use programs to build the ministry.
